I'll get the tide rolling by telling you a little bit about myself and the creation of Beach Barrister!

⚓️Ahoy!⚓️ My name is Michelle, and I'm the Captain of this ship! Beach Barrister was in development for almost four years before its launch in November 2022. In 2019, the idea of creating a venue that provided accessible, fundamental legal education while promoting awareness of elder law issues was born. Over the years, I developed the concept and content of Beach Barrister whenever I could, outside the working hours of my day job at a firm. The 2020 pandemic turned everything on its head, and it forced me to adapt a business plan—that originally emphasized in-person presentations—to a medium that would safely reach our audience. In December 2021, I unexpectedly became a caregiver, which required a temporary leave from my traditional day job. The privilege of caregiving at home offered precious, quality time with a loved one, and it opened the door to pursuing my passion project, Beach Barrister.
